Ambuja Cement will start cement grinding unit in Bihar with an investment of ₹1600 crore, CM Nitish and Pranav Adani arrived at the foundation stone laying ceremony

Adani Group company Ambuja Cement Limited has announced its first venture in Bihar. Under this, the largest investment will be made by any cement industry player in Bihar. The Warisaliganj cement grinding unit with a total capacity of 6 MTPA will be set up with an investment of about Rs 1600 crore.

This project will be started in three phases, in the first phase, Rs 1,100 crore will be invested for a unit of 2.4 MTPA capacity, the target has been set by December 2025 to start it. This project will be built in Mosama village of Warisaliganj tehsil of Nawada district of Bihar. It is well connected by road and rail, Warisaliganj railway station is 1 km away and SH-83 is just 500 meters from there.

This project will meet the growing infrastructure needs of Bihar.

Expressing happiness at the foundation stone laying ceremony organized by Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “This investment by Adani Group is a proof of Bihar’s development potential and our commitment to promote sustainable development for the people of Bihar.

This project will boost infrastructure, contribute about Rs 250 crore every year to the state’s financial revenue, create 250 direct jobs and 1000 indirect jobs. Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, Industry Minister Nitish Mishra attended the foundation stone laying ceremony. Managing Director (Agro, Oil and Gas) from Adani Group and Director of Adani Enterprises Limited Pranav Adani were also present on this occasion.

On this occasion, Pranav Adani said, “This investment is in line with the development programs of the state government and our growth plans.” He also said, the cement industry is flourishing due to the government’s emphasis on infrastructure and Ambuja Cements is well positioned to contribute to the development of sustainable infrastructure in the country. We look forward to collaborating with the state government, authorities and local communities on this and future projects. The state government helped in fast tracking all permits, which made this historic investment possible in a short time.”

Pranav Adani wrote on social media platform (X), “It was a privilege to join Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj. We are grateful for the support received from the Government of Bihar to make this strategic investment of Rs 1,600 crore possible in line with the development plans of the state.

Karan Adani, MD, Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, wrote on the social media platform (X), “Happy to announce a 6 MTPA capacity cement grinding unit with an investment of Rs 1,600 crore in Warisaliganj, Bihar. This will create significant employment opportunities and boost the local economy.”

BIADA has allotted 26.60 acres of land to Ambuja Cements Limited for another cement unit in the industrial area of ​​Mahabal, Motipur, Muzaffarpur besides Warisaliganj. Environmental clearance for this project is in process and work on the project is expected to start soon.
