The peaceful evening in Delhi suddenly turned into screams and smoke when a fierce blast occurred in a Hyundai i20 car near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday, November 10, 2025. This explosion resulted in 12 deaths and over 20 injuries. The blast was so powerful that several nearby vehicles caught fire, causing chaos in the area. The injured were admitted to LNJP Hospital, while security agencies’ initial investigation hints at possible links to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

This terror attack in India was prominently covered by major Pakistani newspapers and news channels. The Pakistani media labeled it as New Delhi’s largest terror attack.

  • Dawn newspaper reported that at least eight people were killed and several injured in the blast near the Red Fort in New Delhi, India. Dawn further wrote that the explosion took place just hours after 2,900 kg of explosive material was seized in Haryana, suggesting a possible connection between the two incidents.
  • Geo News reported that the investigation into the Delhi car explosion is being conducted under India’s anti-terrorism law, the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act). According to the report, India’s police and intelligence agencies considered it a “serious incident related to national security.”
  • The Express Tribune wrote in its report that at least eight people were killed in the car explosion in the Indian capital. Investigating agencies are trying to trace the network hidden behind the blast.
  • Pakistan Today called it a serious terror attack in one of India’s most crowded areas and wrote that “several vehicles were burned by the blast,” while the fire department brought the fire under control after an hour of effort.

Investigation Focuses on Faridabad and Pulwama Connection

Investigating agencies have discovered that the Hyundai i20 car used in the explosion originated from Faridabad and is linked to a person named Tariq from Pulwama.

The NIA and NSG teams have reached the spot and are investigating in every direction. The police have invoked sections of the UAPA and the Explosive Substances Act in this case.

Strict Security Measures in the Capital

Immediately following the blast, a high alert was issued in Delhi, as well as in Mumbai, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Additional security forces have been deployed at airports, metro stations, railway stations, and major markets. Delhi Police have intensified night checking across all borders to identify suspicious vehicles and individuals.
