Roads Closed Due to Landslides
Rain has severely affected the roads in the state. Highways are closed at various points, and landslides have created problems for travelers. The Gangotri-Yamunotri and Badrinath highways are blocked due to falling boulders and rocks. While some areas are being cleared by the Border Roads Organization (BRO), many people stuck on the roads are trying to clear the path themselves. The situation remains challenging due to continuous rock falls. It is advised to avoid traveling during heavy rain and to postpone non-essential trips. The administration has kept emergency services ready to provide immediate assistance if needed.
