India Women U-19 spinner Vaishnavi Sharma marks her debut with a series of records, as her iconic debut will go down in history as one of the finest ‘first introduction by a cricketer’ ever.
The 19-year-old recorded a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul on her debut, as she now becomes the first-ever Indian to achieve the feat at the ICC Women’s U19 T20 Word Cups.
The feat is achieved during the India Women Vs Malaysia Women match, as the latter looked completely helpless in front of the bowling attack of the reigning champions of the inaugural edition.
Disastrous Batting From Malaysia Women U-19!
Malaysia Women registered one of the lowest scores of the tournament, as they were bundled out for merely 31 runs.
Vaishnavi Sharma recorded the figures of 5 runs and 5 wickets in her four overs, which included one maiden over, and was complemented by Aayushi Shukla, who grabbed 3 wickets for 8 runs in her 3.3 overs, alongside managing a maiden over as well.
Malaysia Women are already a part of a tough group consisting the likes of India Women and Sri Lanka Women. They were coming off a humiliation into this fixture, as Sri Lanka Women U-19 bundled them out for 23 runs inside 14.1 overs.
In this match, the side got all-out in 2 more balls, plus 8 runs, as their batting performance at the mega event is as shambolic as it gets.
The batters are failing to last on the pitch, or even score runs, and are hence, becoming a pretty easy prey for the opposition bowlers.
