Indian Army and Air Force Joint Operation: First Accurate Para-Drop at 15,000 Feet

Published:

The Indian Army and Indian Air Force conducted a joint operation, performing the first-ever accurate para-drop operation at an altitude of about 15,000 feet. This operation was carried out using Aarogya Maitri Health Cubes, developed indigenously under Project Bhishma (an Indian health initiative for cooperation and friendship).

Operation with Hercules Aircraft

The operation was aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing crucial supplies to areas affected by humanitarian aid and disaster relief (HADR). The Indian Air Force used its advanced strategic transport aircraft, the C-130J Super Hercules, to airlift and para-drop the cubes.

Successful Deployment of Trauma Care Cubes

The Indian Army’s Para Brigade played a key role in the successful deployment of the trauma care cubes, using advanced precision drop equipment. This successful demonstration highlighted the military’s capability to effectively support HADR operations in remote and mountainous areas.

Commitment to Timely and Effective Aid

The successful para-drop and deployment of the Bhishma Trauma Care Cubes showcased the coordination and unity of the armed forces. It also demonstrated their commitment to providing timely and effective aid as first responders.
