It was supposed to be a regular flight — a journey from Ahmedabad to London. But within minutes of takeoff, Air India Flight AI-787, a Boeing Dreamliner carrying 242 people, crashed in a crowded area near Meghaninagar, turning an ordinary afternoon into a national tragedy.

The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has begun an immediate inquiry. A team of technical experts, Air India engineers, and safety officers has been sent to investigate the black box and cockpit voice recorder.
A senior DGCA official stated:
“We will not speculate. But we are looking at engine failure, navigation issues, or possible human error.”
