New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is coming to India for an official visit from March 16 to 20, 2025. He is visiting at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A high-level delegation will accompany him, including ministers, senior officials, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand.
Luxon’s Schedule in India
🔹 March 17 – Luxon will meet PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss key topics like trade, science, education, and bilateral cooperation. Both leaders will focus on strengthening India-New Zealand relations.
🔹 On the same day, he will be the chief guest at the opening session of the 10th Raisina Dialogue 2025 and will deliver a keynote speech.
🔹 Luxon will also meet Indian President Droupadi Murmu on March 17. PM Modi will host a special lunch in his honor.
🔹 March 19-20 – Luxon will visit Mumbai, where he will meet top Indian business leaders and representatives from various industries.

After India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced his visit, Christopher Luxon shared a post on X (Twitter):
🗣️ “Next week, I will visit India with a senior business delegation. Strengthening ties with India is a key priority for my government. India is the world’s fifth-largest economy, and I aim to boost trade and business opportunities between our countries. I also want to promote New Zealand as an investment destination. Trade is an important part of our economic growth plan to lower the cost of living and create more jobs and higher incomes for New Zealanders.”
