Chinese smartphone maker Realme introduced a new fast-charging technology on Wednesday, called 320W SuperSonic Charge. The company claims this technology can fully charge a smartphone in about 4.5 minutes. At its annual 828 Fan Fest in China, Realme also showcased a new type of foldable battery for smartphones.

Realme’s Vice President, Chase Xu, presented the 320W SuperSonic Charge technology. According to the company, this technology can charge a smartphone to 100% in around 4.30 minutes. It also supports dual USB Type-C outputs, allowing Realme smartphones to charge at 150W and compatible laptops at 65W. The company demonstrated a foldable battery with a rated capacity of 4,420 mAh, which can be used in foldable smartphones.

The company might soon launch the P2 Pro in the country. It is expected to replace the Realme P1 Pro, which was introduced in April. The P2 Pro might offer three storage options and two RAM options, though details have not been confirmed. A recent report suggested that the P2 Pro could come with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and three storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The phone may be available in two colors.

In the P series, Realme has already released the P1 and P1 Pro in the country. The Realme P1 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 950 nits. It has a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8 MP secondary camera.

The Realme P2 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and run on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0. It will support 45W SuperVOOC charging with a 5,000 mAh battery.
