Why are there protests in Venezuela?

According to the National Electoral Council, Maduro defeated the main opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez and won 51 percent of the votes. He says that the opposition leader has got only 44 percent votes, that is why Nicolas Maduro has become president for the third time. America also objected to his victory and said that Maduro’s victory has no credibility. The opposition is calling it fraud. The opposition claims that their leader has secured 73.2 percent votes.
